Models of Web-Like Graphs: Integrated Approach

The Web can be modeled as a directed graph in which a node represents a web page and an edge represents an hyperlink. Recent studies suggested that despite it chaotic appearance, the Web is highly structured graph, in a statistical sense. In this paper we introduce a new web-like model that incorporates the main features of the web: power law degree distributions for both incoming and outgoing links, “small world” structure and a large amount of small bipartite cliques. We also provide a comparison of our model with several others in their ability to capture web graph characteristics.
